What You Keep If You Leave Ziwi: Website, Domain, Ad Accounts

When you leave Ziwi you keep your website, your domain and your ad accounts, because you own them from day one. Plans are month to month, and if you leave before 12 months on the free website you owe only the unearned part of the waived $2,500 build fee, never more.

Leaving an agency should be a cancellation, not a rescue job. This is the item-by-item list: what stays in your name the day you stop paying Ziwi, what stops, what the handover looks like, and the one fee that can apply. The longer explanations have their own guides: month-to-month terms on our no-contract marketing agency page, and the full ownership audit in do you own your website.

What do you keep if you leave Ziwi?

The short answer

You keep the 8 things an agency could otherwise hold back: the website, the domain, the hosting access, the Google Business Profile, the ad accounts with their history, the call tracking numbers, the content on your site, and your data. The domain, the Google Business Profile, the ad accounts and the call tracking numbers are opened or registered in your name from day one, and when you leave the website files and data are handed over, with hosting access through your Ziwi portal, or we move the site to a host you choose.

None of it depends on how long you stayed; the only fee that can apply sits on the free website, and it has a ceiling.

  • The website. The full WordPress site, its files and an administrator login. We ask to add a small "Website by Ziwi Marketing" link in the footer.
  • The domain. Registered in your name, so your web address and the email that runs on it never change hands.
  • The hosting access. You get the files and hosting access through your Ziwi portal, or we move the site to a host you choose.
  • The Google Business Profile. Opened in your name, with its reviews and posts still on it.
  • The ad accounts and their history. Google Ads and Meta accounts in your name, with the spend history, conversion data and audiences inside them. Ad spend was always billed to you by the platform, never through Ziwi.
  • The call tracking numbers. Set up in your name and moved to you, with the call recordings and history.
  • The content. Every page and post published on your site stays on your site, because the site is yours.
  • Your data. Lead records, call history and reporting, exported in a format you can open and use.

What stops when you cancel?

The monthly work and Ziwi's access stop; the website, the domain and the accounts do not. Every Ziwi plan is month to month, with no annual contract and no notice period: a plan stops at the end of the month it is cancelled, and the 8 things listed on this page stay yours. Here is each item side by side, with the Ziwi page that publishes the term.

Each plan is priced and dropped on its own, so you can keep part of the work: hosting at $99 a month, local SEO from $297 a month per location, and ads management from $297 a month by ad spend. Keeping one does not tie you to the others.

Do you owe anything if you leave?

The one condition

You owe nothing to leave, with one exception that has a ceiling. Ziwi's free website waives the full $2,500 custom website build fee when you start hosting at $99 a month or Ziwi Care at $299 a month per location and keep the plan 12 months.

If you leave early

Cancel inside 12 months and you repay only the unearned part of the waived build fee, prorated by the months remaining, and never more than the fee that was waived. Cancel after six months and roughly half is due; complete 12 months and nothing is.

It is a condition on a discount, not a term contract: you never owe the remaining monthly fees, and you keep the site either way. The full offer is on the free website page, and what a site costs when it is paid outright is on website design cost.

How does the handover work when you leave Ziwi?

The handover runs in 5 steps, and you can check each one in the platform's own settings rather than take it on trust:

  1. 01

You tell us you are leaving. Plans are month to month with no notice period and no annual renewal date, so the plan stops at the end of the month you cancel.

  2. 02

The website moves or stays. You get the files and hosting access through your Ziwi portal, or we move the site to a host you choose. If you host it yourself, you stop paying Ziwi's hosting fee.

  3. 03

Ziwi's access comes off your accounts. Google Ads, Meta, Google Business Profile, analytics and call tracking were opened in your name, so Ziwi removes its own access and everything inside them stays.

  4. 04

The phone numbers come with you. Tracking numbers move to you, and your main business number was never touched.

  5. 05

Your data is exported. Lead records, call history, call recordings and reporting, in a format you can open.

Which agencies say in writing that you keep your website?

Who says it in writing

WebnWell and Attention Digital both state on their own pages that clients keep the website and the ad accounts (checked October 2026), and Ziwi states the same on this page.

To build the list we read three of the agency pages Perplexity cited when we asked this question on October 4, 2026, and kept the two whose own page states both what clients keep and the contract terms. Ziwi publishes this page, so its row is labelled as ours and placed last, not ranked.

Every row is what the agency publishes about itself, not a judgement of how it delivers. Published terms can change, so read the agreement you are actually offered, from any agency, including this one.

What should you check in any agency's contract?

Check 4 things before you compare prices: who registers the domain, who owns the ad account, who owns the Google Business Profile, and whether the website can be exported to a host you choose. Each can be tested in the platform itself, so you are not relying on the contract wording alone:

  • Who registers the domain. Log in to the registrar with your own email and look for the domain in your account. Whoever holds that login holds your web address and the email that runs on it.
  • Who owns the ad account. In Google Ads, a user with Admin access can give and remove access for other users (Google Ads Help, checked October 2026). You want Admin on your own account, so you can remove an agency yourself.
  • Who owns the Google Business Profile. A profile can have several owners but only 1 primary owner, and managers cannot add or remove users (Google Business Profile Help, checked October 2026). You should be the primary owner and the agency a manager.
  • Whether the site can be exported. Ask for a full backup of the files and database and confirm it downloads. A site that only runs on an agency's own platform has nothing to hand over.

The longer checklists live in two guides: the contract clauses on the no-contract marketing agency page and the five-account audit in do you own your website. Ziwi's own terms sit next to every price on the pricing page, local SEO from $297 a month per location and ads management from $297 a month, and you can book a discovery call and bring your current contract.
