Google charges for each Local Services Ads lead, about $33 to $107 across most home service trades in April to June 2026 and $215 for water damage (99 Calls, September 2026). Running them is a second bill. Ziwi's Local Services Ads management is $297 a month with ad spend up to $1,500.

About 5,400 people a month search "google guaranteed" (our September 2026 pull), the old name before Google replaced that badge with one Google Verified badge. What the work includes is on the Local Services Ads service page; this page is about price, and Ziwi is not affiliated with Google.

A Local Services Ads lead cost about $33 to $107 in most home service trades from April to June 2026, according to averages 99 Calls published from the accounts it manages (September 2026, checked October 2026). Painting averaged $33.06 a lead, plumbing $66.17, roofing $106.87 and water damage $215.31, so your trade matters a lot.
SkillMammoth's July 2026 ranges, also from accounts it manages, run wider: $20 to $70 for plumbers and $30 to $100 for roofers. Your price also moves with your city, the season and how many rivals bid, and Google says lead prices vary with "your location, the job type, the type of lead, or your bidding mode" (Google Local Services Help, checked October 2026).

Law and dental sit outside those home service studies. For lawyers, The Modern Firm, a legal marketing agency, wrote in May 2025 that a lead can cost "as little as $50" or "as much as $400 or more", while Nifty Marketing put personal injury leads at about $20 to $100 in June 2026 (both checked October 2026). Dentist and lawyer are both US Local Services categories, though the checks differ by category and location; the wider bills are in what law firm marketing costs and what dental marketing costs.

Google bills Local Services Ads per lead against an average weekly budget you set, and if you leave that budget alone, a month is capped at the weekly budget times 30.4, divided by 7 (Google Local Services Help, checked October 2026). A $300 weekly budget caps a Local Services month at about $1,303, even though single weeks can run over $300, and Google charges your card or bank account every 30 days, or sooner if you reach your payment threshold. A lead counts when you speak with a caller, get a text, email or voicemail, return a missed call, or get a booking request, and Google says message leads are "typically priced lower than the corresponding phone lead price", though not always.
The setup is changing. Google says Local Services Ads are moving into Google Ads as a campaign type called Performance Max with pay-per-lead goals, starting in August 2026 for select US home and storefront service businesses, with more advertisers in late 2026 and 2027 (Google Ads Help, checked October 2026). You still pay only for valid leads, but the weekly budget becomes a daily average, a month is capped at that daily figure times 30.4, and manual bidding ends.
A workable Local Services budget is one that would buy about 20 leads a month at average prices: roughly $660 in painting at $33.06 a lead, $1,320 in plumbing at $66.17 and $2,140 in roofing at $106.87, on 99 Calls averages for April to June 2026. With fewer than 20 leads, one week of wrong numbers and price shoppers can make a working account look broken.
Then test it against one job: if a plumbing job is worth $400 and one lead in three books, a $66.17 lead puts about $200 of ad spend behind each booked job. On a $1,320 month, Ziwi's fee is $297, so the whole bill is about $1,617, with the ad spend paid to Google from your own account.
Multiply your trade's lead price by 20. That is about one readable month of leads.
Turn it into a weekly budget. Divide by 30.4 and multiply by 7, so $1,320 a month is about $304 a week, or about $43 a day once your account moves to Performance Max.
Answer every lead fast. Ziwi Engage texts back missed calls and new messages within seconds from $99 a month, and Engage Pro answers calls at any hour for $299, plus AI usage at cost.
Judge it on booked jobs at 30 days. A lead is a phone call, not a job.

Google now handles bad-lead credits automatically, but not every bad lead qualifies: it skips charging leads its models judge invalid or low quality, rechecks charged leads later, and in most cases puts any credit on your balance within 30 days (Google Local Services Help, checked October 2026). The original charge still shows on your invoice, and the link Google used for disputing charges now opens its automated credits page instead. Google no longer credits leads for a "job type not serviced" or "geo not serviced", and credits are not offered for health care categories (Google's page does not say whether dentists count), tax specialists or advertisers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Your job types and service area are the real spend filter: set them wrong and you pay for the mistake.
Google lists these as leads it will not credit.
Google charges nothing for the background check behind the Google Verified badge, but a US business usually needs a D-U-N-S number from Dun and Bradstreet, which Google says can take up to 30 days to get (Google Local Services Help, checked October 2026). The rest of the cost is your time: gathering licenses, insurance certificates and background check details for owners and field workers, then fixing anything Google rejects. Google also ended the money-back guarantee behind the old badge, and consumers could claim only for jobs booked before December 7, 2025. Health care providers also need National Provider Identifier verification, and the checks vary by category and location.
Three agencies that print a Local Services Ads management price charge $99 to $1,000 a month, and two add a setup fee near $400, on the pricing pages of RZ Web Media, Click Wise Design and Clear Imaging (checked October 2026). WebFX does not print a Local Services price on its own; its custom ad management plans, which include Local Services Ads, start at $750 a month.
Ziwi charges $297 a month with ad spend up to $1,500, $497 from $1,500 to $3,500 and $797 above $3,500, and the same fee covers search ads run alongside.
| Who runs it | Monthly fee | Setup | Ad spend it covers | Terms (pricing pages, checked October 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RZ Web Media | $99 | $399 once | One campaign | Month to month |

Ziwi never marks up the per-lead charges: they go from your own Local Services account to Google, and the account and its lead history stay in your name. The Ziwi fee, $297 a month with spend up to $1,500, covers the screening paperwork, categories and service area, the weekly budget and a weekly read of the lead log, with call tracking included and no long contracts. Google counts your rating and review count toward where you rank, which is why reviews and reputation, $197 a month per location, pairs well.
Local Services Ads come down to two bills: about $33 to $107 a lead to Google in most home service trades (99 Calls, September 2026), and a management fee of $99 to $1,000 a month at the three agencies we found that print one, or $297 to $797 at Ziwi. Regular search ads bill per click instead, priced in what Google Ads costs, and the fees for running them are in what Google Ads management costs.
